ZF Services UK revamps facilities for CV

By Niamh Marriott02 September 2021

After seeing the resulting market changes post pandemic, ZF Services UK has revamped its Nottingham Centre of Competence offering to better support the commercial vehicle (CV) aftermarket.

ZF Service Partners can attend bus operators within a 48-hour window and perform on-site diagnosis

The driveline and chassis technology provider stayed open and operational throughout the pandemic, though like many had to adapt with health and safety procedures for staff and customers.

Now that restrictions are beginning to ease, the company’s repair centre has been redeveloped with a wider range of support from overhaul and remanufacture, to parts and technical support for transmissions, axles and gearboxes.

ZF Service Partners can attend bus operators within a 48-hour window and perform on-site diagnosis, repairs and component exchange to minimise vehicle downtime. All Service Partner staff are trained in line with the factory production standards, and are strategically situated across the UK and Ireland.

Challenging times

David Wakeling, ZF head of commercial vehicle, said, “The past year was certainly not without challenge for every industry, but the commercial vehicle aftermarket has set a great example of pulling together to continue to successfully service customer demand.

“During this time, we’ve watched the market closely and listened to customers’ changing requirements and have therefore invested further in additional resources, training and equipment at our Nottingham Centre of Competence. This provides customers with the reassurance that we are ideally placed to support with the service and repair of the next generation of commercial vehicles.”

Fully ISO accredited, the ZF Services UK Centre of Competence in Nottingham is a dedicated facility and thanks to the recent expansion, now boasts a 6500 square metre workshop. With multi-brand capabilities, the centre uses industry trained technicians and work to OEM standards.

The ZF Nottingham head office also stocks and distributes genuine ZF parts, and provides a non-ZF gearbox remanufacture and reverse engineering service.
