New Himoinsa Subsidiary In Australia

Himoinsa, the Spanish manufacturer of power generation systems, has named its 13th global subsidiary, Australian company Generator Power.

Francisco Gracia, executive director of Himoinsa, said the move “is the best bet to strengthen our positioning in Asia and Oceania.” At present, the company has a subsidiary in Singapore (1998) and a production center in China (2006).  With locations in Sydney, Brisbane, Generator Power offers gen-sets for sale and hire, as well as design and construction, installation and aftersales service.

Australia is a significant gen-set markets in Asia-Pacific, driven by the mining industry and growing hospitality and service sectors. Himoinsa said that research shows the diesel gen-set market in Australia is projected to touch $765.4 million by 2022.

The collaboration between Himoinsa and Generator Power in Australia started in 2012, and “we are delighted to establish our business alliance,” said Dave Robins, executive director of Generator Power.
