New COO At Camso

Camso, formerly Camoplast Solideal, has named Thomas Böttcher as chief operating officer (COO), responsible for resource allocation, business priorities, processes and standards across Camso’s material handling, construction, agriculture and powersports business units. He will also oversee all manufacturing operations and the research and development activities of the company, which specializes in in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of off-road tires, wheels, rubber tracks and undercarriage systems.

Böttcher was a member of the Camso board of directors since 2008. Prior to becoming COO, he was dean of the faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of HTWG Konstanz in Germany. Before entering into academia, he spent 18 years at Continental AG, a global automotive supplier specializing in tires, brake systems, automotive safety, powertrain and chassis components.
