HED Control Systems HED Inc. has named Sweden’s Accilator Technologies as a distributor and integrator of its controls, telematics and HMI technologies.

HED Inc., the Hartford, Wis.-based supplier of vehicle controls, HMI and telematics for mobile equipment and vehicles, has formed a distribution and system integration partnership with Accilator Technologies, a Swedish provider of electronic and electromechanical solutions.

“We are very excited to partner with Accilator,” said Steve Magee, HED’s vice president of Sales and Marketing. “They are a high talent organization capable of providing our customers with unprecedented vehicle control system solutions. Accilator has the right team and expertise to support our International growth strategy to seek partners capable of full system integration.”

Based in Stockholm, Accilator’s product mix includes customized and standardized parts from selected niche suppliers of sensors and switches, power electronics, HMI and electronics, for vehicle applications. As a system integrator, Accilator also provides application development expertise directly to customers within its region.

“We are also very excited to partner with HED,” said said Rikard Rockhammar, manager of Business Development at Accilator Technologies. “By adding their product portfolio, Accilator will have a complete package for the market.”

HED Online Support Center HED’s new Customer Support Center is designed to make it easier and faster for customers to find answers regarding HED products and services.

HED has also announced new developments closer to home. The company has created an online Customer Support Center, intended to make it easier and faster for customers to find answers to questions regarding HED products and services. Customers can access the self-help function by using the search box to answer commonly asked questions, access software downloads, user manuals and more. Users can also take specific action and submit a request for quote or issuance of an RMA.

“Our customer’s experience is the first priority, so we are happy to announce that those who require more in-depth information about our products will now be able to intuitively find valuable support information through the click of a button,” said Magee. “In addition, our technical support ticketing system has been streamlined for ease and efficiency.”

HED has also launched the CANect Telematics Services Billing Platform, a new website that HED’s OEM customers to manage their CANect Portal and Cellular subscriptions for assets with telematics services in one convenient location. In addition to subscription management, the platform allows users to view billing history, usage reports, virtual inventory and more, HED said.

CANect Demo Kit HED’s CANect Telematics Demonstration Kit can be used as a stand-alone benchtop demonstrator or as a prototype that can be connected and tested directly on OEM vehicles.

CANect Telematics is HED’s end-to-end IoT solution designed to allow OEMs to design their own telematics solution and define the on-vehicle and cloud experience offered to their end-users.

“The CANect Billing Platform provides customers with 24/7 access to self-manage their service subscriptions when they want and how they want,” said Chad Repp, CANect Business Development Manager. “Features like just-in-time provisioning will help decrease costs by allowing activation to occur at the time of deployment rather than months before.”

HED has also developed a CANect Telematics Demonstration Kit that can be used as a stand-alone benchtop demonstrator or as a prototype that can be connected and tested directly on OEM vehicles. The kit is offered complete with all hardware connections and antenna, software, six months of services (back-end office and cell) and a step-by-step training guide on how CANect Telematics can differentiate the OEM’s offering.

“The CANect Demo Kit allows our OEM Customer to experience the entire CANect Telematics product portfolio from a desk with a pre-installed vehicle simulation demo rather than going through the process of implementing a full application up front,” Repp said. “If our OEM customer likes what they see, the Demo kit can then quickly be adapted for on-vehicle prototyping. No additional software or hardware is required.”
