AGCO Brazil Combine Plant Expanded
28 September 2018
AGCO’s plant in Santa Rosa, Brazil, has received an investment of U$15 million (R$60 million) with the expectation that the facility will expand production in 100% over the next two years.
AGCO manufactures harvesters, combines and headers for its Massey Ferguson, Valtra and Challenger brands in Santa Rosa. The investment plan started in 2016 and was part of the company’s strategy to launch high technology products at the facility.
Among the improvements at the plant is a dynamometer system, which is designed to simulate the operation of combines in the field before the product delivery. An automated welding system is also a new, along with a new painting area.
The Santa Rosa plant is responsible for manufacturing Massey Ferguson and Valtra harvesters, combines and headers.
