Tim Sullivan To Keynote Global Off-Highway Industry Dialogue

Timothy W. Sullivan, president & CEO, REV Group, Inc., Milwaukee, Wis.,  will present the keynote address at the 5th annual Global Off-Highway Industry Dialogue conference, October 5, 2016 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill. 

The Global Off-Highway Industry Dialogue conference is presented by Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA),  Diesel Progress, Power Systems Research and SAE International.

Sullivan will speak on “New Market Drivers for Today’s M&A”, and will draw upon his experience in the mergers and acquisitions world to discuss the current round of deals and what he sees as potential opportunities in the near-term. 

Sullivan will touch on how recessions drive M&A activity; what challenges are faced by private equity companies in market downturns vs. upturns; the future dynamic of off-shore manufacturing that have been held at bay by a strong U.S. dollar; how the financial structure of a merger deal can affect the R&D and product development resources; and consideration to product portfolio mix and rationalization to avoid overlaps or loss of customers and profits. 

The segment will be moderated by Mike Osenga, president, Diesel & Gas Turbine Publications.

Sullivan has served as president & CEO of the REV Group since August 2014 REV is a privately held $2 billion manufacturer specialty vehicles. Previously, Sullivan was president & CEO of Bucyrus International, Inc. before becoming the president & CEO of Gardner Denver.
