Podgorski New Scania President In Latin America

Christopher Podgorski has been named president and CEO at of Scania Latin America, which includes the company’s second largest industrial operation in São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo, Brazil.

Podgorski, who has been with Scania with 20 years, was senior global vice president of trucks sales and marketing for the last five years. He is the first Brazilian to run Scania in Latin America. The company recently marked 60 years of operation in Brazil.

“I am very happy to be back and honored by the responsibility was given to me, mainly in such an important moment for Scania,” said Podgorski. “Currently, we are in the middle of the introduction of new technologies and solutions and going through an excellent moment in Europe. Besides that, we have strong presence in the BRIC region, as well as Latin America, with highlighted development in countries like Argentina, Chile and Peru.”
