John Deere Power Systems said its family of Stage 5 engines has received official certification and are  on show at Bauma.

This includes the company’s variable-speed engine families below 56 kW and above 130 kW as well as its constant speed engine families. The Industrial Stage 5 line-up from John Deere offers ratings from 36 to more than 500 kW with displacements of 2.9 L through to the upcoming 13.6 L.

As both an engine and machine manufacturer, John Deere also said it has one billion hours of global experience with diesel particulate filter technologies.

Stage 5 aftertreatment technologies from John Deere are optimised for flexible integration and several offer reduced packaging and weight from previous Stage 4 solutions, the company said. And because the technologies are built on the same engine platform as current Stage 4 solutions, the need for OEMs to re-engineer due to hardware or mounting changes is reduced, it added.

Also, on show for the first time is the 4.5 L EWS engine which serves both the 80 kVA and the 100 kVA markets and expands the non-Exhaust Gas Recirculation engine generator drive line-up for Stage 5 from John Deere.
