New Leadership At Tigercat

Tigercat, the Brantford, Ontario, Canada, manufacturer of forestry and off-road equipment, announced new executive leadership. Grant Somerville has been named president, effective Oct. 16. He succeeds Tony Iarocci, who has held the position since Tigercat’s inception in 1992. 

Somerville’s experience in the forestry industry dates back to his time as a harvester operator in 1978. He later he worked on several development projects at Koehring Waterous, including the design of the company’s first purpose-built track feller buncher. He joined Tigercat in 1992 and has held several positions with increasing degrees of responsibility, including product manager for track machines, advanced engineering, and most recently vice president, engineering.

Iarocci will join the company’s board of directors and will focus on the recruitment and development of design talent, product and component improvement, special projects and new product development.
