LiuGong recently announced the opening of a new European parts distribution center in Stalowa Wola, Poland. The warehouse is 3500 m2 and is located at the LiuGong Dressta manufacturing complex.

The distribution facility will supply parts for support customers such as filters and oils to ground engaging components and parts for drivelines and hydraulic systems. LiuGong said it invested US$9.4 million in the warehouse project.

“Our goal is to provide world-class parts availability for owners of both LiuGong and Dressta equipment, wherever they are located,” said Piotr Fiszer, parts operations director. Among the warehouse processes developed at the site are: a 7 m clear height warehouse; 30 000 line items of inventory; and an advanced warehouse management system.

The distribution center joins nine similar LiuGong facilities around the world and offers additional floor space to manage and decant inbound parts as well as for the picking, packing and checking of orders.

The center will be staffed by sales management, customer service, parts technical support and marketing and inventory employees consisting of 18 people and 12 warehouse operatives, who are trained in the warehousing processes and systems, LiuGong said.
