Komatsu Buys Distributor Locations In Southwest

By pdamon06 October 2016

Komatsu America Corp. announced it has purchased four branches of Road Machinery, LLC for an undisclosed price. The four operations will become company-owned facilities under the Komatsu Southwest banner.

The four locations — El Paso, Texas, Carlsbad, Albuquerque and Farmington, New Mexico — will support Komatsu’s long-term strategic plans to grow and strengthen the distribution channel, the company said.

“We will more than double the investment in equipment, tooling and training at these locations,” said Rod Schrader, CEO, Komatsu America. “We see this as an opportunity to improve the linkage of our customers to our factory experts with added customer support and responsiveness.”

Komatsu America Corp. is the U.S. subsidiary of Komatsu Ltd., the world’s second largest manufacturer and supplier of earthmoving equipment, including construction, mining and compact construction equipment, as well as forklifts and forestry machinery.
