How Many Attended bauma 2016?

By pdamon18 April 2016

With the generally tepid state of the mobile equipment markets around the world, there was a lot of interest in just how many people would show up to bauma 2016, the every-three-years equipment extravaganza held in Munich, Germany.

The show organizers expected a strong turnout, but others, pointing to the lackluster state of construction, mining and oil & gas throughout the world, expected there to be fewer people in the aisles at the Messe München grounds.

When the 31st event ended Sunday, it was apparent that the show organizers knew what they were talking about.

According to the final show report, bauma 2016 drew approximately 580,000 visitors from 200 countries, a 9% increase from the previous staging.
