Bobcat Opens First NA Training Center

17 September 2019

The compact equipment manufacturer Bobcat Co. has announced the opening of a new Bobcat Training Center in Aurora, Colo. Bobcat’s product range includes skid-steer, all-wheel steer, mini track and compact track loaders; excavators; VersaHandler telescopic tool carriers; utility vehicles; ToolcatTM utility work machines; compact tractors; small articulated loaders, and attachments and implements.

The training center, the first facility of its kind for Bobcat in North America, is dedicated to developing and deploying world-class training to the 550 Bobcat dealers, the company said. Bobcat said it chose the Denver area for its location for Bobcat dealers, as well as its strategic location near the Denver International Airport.

The 44,400 sq. ft. facility is designed for the company to meet the growing demands for dealer training and presents the opportunity to improve training curriculums with the use of new technologies. Students will learn in the classroom and through simulations in interactive labs. The Bobcat Training Center provides specialized skills training such as troubleshooting and diagnostics, new technician onboarding, selling skills and more.

The Bobcat Training Center includes technical training rooms, hands-on shop space, a large classroom style auditorium, as well as a full warehouse area for equipment storage and showroom space.

Bobcat plans to begin utilizing the new space immediately to further develop its extensive dealer training program, providing the company the ability to respond quickly to evolving industry demands and trends

“The new Bobcat training center addresses our need for additional training capacity,” says Mike Ballweber, Doosan Bobcat North America president. “It also affirms our dedication to all dealers by providing a convenient location to service them. We look forward to being part of Aurora and the greater Denver community.”

“As our equipment offers more features and becomes more advanced, it’s important that we offer the training needed to support new technologies and ensure that the full potential of each piece of equipment is being utilized,” said Ballweber.
