Stephen Roy has been appointed president, Sales Region Americas, Volvo Construction Equipment, effective Sept. 1. In his new role Roy will be responsible for sales in North America and Latin America, strengthening Volvo CE’s market position in the region and boosting profitability.

He succeeds Goran Lindgren, who will be involved in other projects at Volvo CE and will report to Tomas Kuta, global senior vice president, Sales. Roy will be based at the company’s sales and production facility in Shippensburg, Pa.

Roy has held a variety of senior management positions in the Volvo Group’s North American commercial truck operations, including president of Mack Trucks, where he helped drive profitability and increase market share in core segments.
