Intelligent Quick Connector From Voss

Voss Automotive has developed a prototype for a pressure sensor integrated in the quick connect system to record the air pressure in brake, air suspension and auxiliary circuits of commercial vehicles. The newest in the company’s line of intelligent quick connectors, it is designed to be combined with the Voss 230 and 232 model connectors, in nylon, plastic or brass, via a snap connection.
Engineered to be compact and lightweight, the customized plug is delivered to the vehicle manufacturer fully assembled with the sensor. The electrical port for the sensor can be rotated 360° for optimal assembly and orientation, Voss said, and will remain securely in place without causing a loss in pressure if disconnected.
Integrating the sensor alleviates the need for separate branches, adapters, brackets or other heavy metal parts, the company said. In addition, the air pressure connection and pressure measurement can be combined at one location, with no separate port required on the air suspension bellow.
