Cat Marine introduces triple turbo engine

The C32B was designed with repowers in mind to provide more power and life to existing vessels

Caterpillar Marine has announced the release of the Cat C32B Triple Turbo 2433 MHP (2400 BHP) high-performance marine engine, with a rated engine speed of 2300 rpm. The C32B Triple Turbo engine leverages the same core engine upgrades as the C32B 2025 MHP rating while offering additional features and benefits, the company said. The C32B 3-Turbo is designed for yachting, sportfishing and governmental applications.

Compared to the C32B 2025 MHP model, the new engine has an updated cooling system and a new sequential (3-turbo) air system designed to deliver faster response and better performance. Additional options include extended oil change intervals, full MCS certification, including duplex filtration, and a cosmetic engine cover.

“We are extremely excited to build on our recent introduction of the C32B by bringing even more power density to the industry with our best-in-class V12 engine,” said Allen Bowman, Caterpillar Marine Product Strategy Lead for C32. “The C32B Triple Turbo engine will be a difference-maker for the high-performance marine segment, both in power and performance. We’re thrilled to work with our customers, dealers, and builders to deliver this outstanding product.”
