New Deutsch Electrical Contact

Ladd Industries, the authorized U.S. distributor of Deutsch industrial products, has announced the addition of nickel-plated size 20 contacts engineered to accept 16-18 awg to the Deutsch Industrial Common Contact system. The new nickel plated contacts are designed to offer a lower cost alternative to the gold contacts currently available and expand the range of Deutsch connector options for applications where 16-18 awg is required.

The new contacts, manufactured from solid copper alloy with nickel plating and a stainless steel retainer sleeve, are designed for heavy-duty use, high mating cycles, and offer easy field service with standard Deutsch crimp and removal tools. The solid barrel crimp style pins and sockets are rated at 7.5 amps each, and meet all standard Deutsch Industrial specifications, the company said.

These contacts are designed for use in all Deutsch Industrial connector series including the DTM, HD, HDP, DRC and DRB series. Deutsch heavy-duty connectors are targeted toward for harsh environments where dust, dirt, moisture or rough terrain can contaminate or damage electrical connections.
