Engine Oil Pressure Sensors

Kavlico, a business unit of Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST) has designed its engine oil pressure sensors (EOP) to measure pressures in gasoline or diesel engines as well as other heavy-duty machinery. The sensors can be designed with a ceramic capacitive or piezo-resistive (PRT) sense element depending upon the application-specific requirement of the OEM. Operating on 5 Vdc, the sensor provides a linear amplified analog output proportional to pressure.

The sensor pressure range is 0 to 300 psi gage or absolute reference. Proof and burst pressures vary with core technology used and housing materials, but may include a proof pressure of 3X upper Range Limit (URL) and a burst pressure of 5X URL. Common operating temperature is -40 to +125°C.
