Deutz Corp. has introduced two new gas engine lines, primarily for the North America market. The new G914 and G2015 gas engine families are targeted primarily at stationary applications including irrigation, the oil and gas markets—especially pump jacks, as well as the gas compression markets. Power generation is also a major target market, and as such both engine lines offer fixed speed applications at 1500 and 1800 rpm with zero speed droop for both families.
The new G914 gas engine line includes four models with outputs from 29 to 114 hp. The G2015 engine family includes two models with outputs from 70 to 322 hp. Both engine families are packaged at Deutz’ Norcross, Ga. facility and are available mostly through the company’s North America distribution network.
Both engine lines are based on diesel counterparts with the same general model designation (minus the G for gas), thus there is a high degree of parts commonality throughout.
The emissions compliant G914 series models are four- and six-cylinder inline air-cooled engines with displacements of 4.3 and 6.4L respectively. The two naturally-aspirated models, the GG914L04 and GG914L06 run as stoichiometric engines, while the six-cylinder turbocharged/charge-air-cooled model TCG914L06 is designed as a lean burn engine.
More complete details on these new Deutz gas engines will be featured in the August issue of Diesel Progress North American.
