And The Winners Were…

Diesel Progress Excellence In Equipment Engineering awards presented in 13 categories at Bauma ceremony

Diesel Progress magazine, which is celebrating its 75th consecutive year of regular monthly publication this year, announced the winners in the second Excellence in Equipment Engineering program. The individual awards were presented in a ceremony at Bauma hosted by ZF, the sponsor of the awards program.

The Excellence in Equipment Engineering program, which was sponsored by powertrain systems supplier ZF, recognizes outstanding achievement in equipment design in 13 product categories. The individual awards were presented in a ceremony at the ZF stand at Bauma.

“Too often, the efforts of engineers seem to get lost,” said Mike Brezonick, associate publisher and editor-in-chief of Diesel Progress. “All of the work that resulted in machines being more efficient, more environmentally sensitive and more productive gets overlooked.

“The Excellence in Equipment Engineering awards program is a salute to the countless hours and efforts that have gone into the design of today’s mobile equipment. It’s our way to help recognize singular achievement in the engineering and design of engine-powered machinery.”

More than 9200 votes were cast in all and the winners were selected from a final list of three machines in each of the following categories.
