Industry NewsDaimler Delivers 220 Trucks To LehnkeringJuly 29, 2010 Daimler and Lehnkering, a logistic provider located in Duisburg, Germany, have signed an agreement for the delivery of 220 Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks to be completed by the end of 2013. The trucks will be produced at Daimler's Wörth, Germany, plant and will be delivered to various Lehnkering sites in Germany, the Netherlands and Poland. The first Actros truck are due to be delivered as early as this October, Daimler said. Lehnkering will use approximately two-thirds of the trucks for chemical transport and the other third for steel deliveries. All of the trucks will be fitted with Mercedes-Benz BlueTec engines, which meet both Euro 5 emissions guidelines and the voluntary EEV (Enhanced Environmental Friendly Vehicle) standards. Lehnkering has also spec'd the trucks with the TopSafety package complete with every available Mercedes-Benz safety feature including the latest version of the Active Brake Assist system.
