Strategic Alliance Centers On Global Ag Shows

The German Agriculture Association (DLG), organizer of the international Agritechnica Show in Germany, and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) have announced a strategic alliance concerning international agricultural shows. As part of the alliance, the organization will stage their two global ag shows, Agritechnica and AG Connect, in the same year beginning in 2011.

AEM’s new AG Connect exhibition, which will have its inaugural in Orlando, Fla., next Jan. 13-15, will have its next staging at the beginning of 2011 in Atlanta. The Agritechnica show will then be held in November of 2011. That will establish the pattern of the two shows being held at opposite ends of the same year.

Martin Richenhagen, CEO of AGCO Corp. and president of AEM, acknowledged the need to have an international farm equipment exhibition every other year between Europe and the U.S. to offer the opportunity for farmers to be updated on the latest developments every year.
