Just days after receiving word from European regulatory authorities that its purchase of Fantuzzi Industries was approved, it now appears Terex may have had a change of heart. In a U.S. regulatory filing, Westport, Conn.-based Terex said that it may not complete the $271 million purchase of the European port equipment manufacturer which was initially announced in August.

General Dynamics and private equity firm The Carlyle Group, said they have entered into a definitive agreement in which General Dynamics will acquire AxleTech International for an undisclosed price. AxleTech is a global manufacturer of axles, axle components, independent suspensions, brakes and aftermarket parts for military vehicles, commercial specialty trucks and off-highway equipment in construction, material handling, forestry, mining and agricultural markets.
