CuproBraze®
The environmental friendly CuproBraze process targets on the manufacture of durable heavy-duty mobile and industrial heat exchangers. CuproBraze is best suited for applications where durability, corrosion resistance, and reparability are important factors. Such applications are typically heavy-duty off-road vehicles like agricultural and forestry tractors, mining and construction equipment, heavy-duty trucks and buses, locomotives, military vehicles, and power generators.
New brass and copper alloys as well as specialized lead-free brazing filler materials offer high thermal performance, corrosion resistance as well as excellent retention of strength at elevated operating temperatures. Strong thin materials facilitate low pressure drop and down gauging to save space.
CuproBraze heat exchangers have high durability, strength, fatigue resistance and corrosion resistance contributing to longer lifespan. Corrosion resistance is required externally in coastal areas, humid areas, polluted areas, such as mines etc. CuproBraze products do not show internal erosion due to bad coolant. Copper fins have excellent thermal conductivity and are hard enough to resist sand erosion and stone impingement.
