New Headquarters For Nelson Global Products

Nelson Global Products, the Stoughton, Wis., manufacturer of fabricated high-performance exhaust and emissions equipment and systems for on- and off-highway commercial vehicles and equipment, has formally opened its new headquarters campus that incorporates an extensive engineering and design center.

The new $3.75 million headquarters consists of a 25,000 sq. ft. office building which encompasses 100 employees and key departments including product design and engineering, marketing, sales, accounting and administrative support staffs. In another area of Stoughton, the company also opened an extensive testing facility for product development and performance validation.  Ground was broken for the campus in June 2012 and the company began operating at the new site earlier this year.

Nelson is a portfolio company of Wind Point Partners, a private equity firm in Chicago.  In the past three years, Nelson has acquired eight companies, with 15 plant locations, and almost 3000 employees. The product/capabilities portfolio includes tube forming, acoustic management systems, exhaust structures, thermal management systems, emissions systems, pressurized tube assemblies for air, hydraulic and lubrication, structural assemblies, advanced metal forming, fluid transfer systems and related aftermarket parts.

The company’s operations include manufacturing operations in Morton, Ill., Fort Wayne, Ind., Clinton, Tenn., Stoughton, Arcadia, Black River Falls and Viroqua, Wis., Scoresby, Australia, Pune, India, and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
