@Agritechnica: Huegli Tech Launches HED Display

Posted on September 17, 2013

Huegli Tech will launch the new HED CL-709 display at Agritechnica. The new display incorporates a high resolution 110 mm thin film transistor LCD in a compact enclosure that the company said can be either dash or RAM mounted. A LCD above 450 nits brightness, along with optically bonded anti-reflective glass, allows the display to be easily readable in any lighting conditions, the company said.

The display is engineered to withstand temperatures between –40 and 70 °C and is compliant with IP67 protection rating. The CL-709 works with a 32-bit PC-based processor that allows the device to serve both as a display and as a master control module in the vehicle control system. With two CAN ports, the display can read engine and chassis data along with CANOpen or J1939 messages from other vehicle devices. The CL-709 is also equipped with up to eight software configurable inputs and four PWM outputs rated up to 3 amps.

The CL-709 can be programmed using HED's GUI software package CANLink Orchestra. The display screens and control logic can also be configured via Excel to interface with any engine type. Huegli Tech said.
