Overhung Load Adapters

Zero-Max has developed enhanced designs for its range of overhung load adaptors used to accommodate axial and radial loads on hydraulic pumps used in applications such as forestry machinery, oilfield equipment, recycling machines and cold planers.

Working within its existing OHLA configurations, the company said it can incorporate more than 1300 designs to meet specific application requirements. These include inverted bearing designs and multiple lubrication ports that increase the OHLA’s load capacity, bearing life and smooth system performance, the company said.

Offered in either face or foot mounting, standard OHLAs are available in over 50 variants with input bore sizes that range from 5/8 in. to 3.5 in. SAE mounts available include A, B, C, D, E and F mounts with two- or four-bolt mounting flanges. OHLAs are also available with a variety of shaft options including splined, threaded, tapered and extended output shafts. Special input bores and housing modifications are also available, the company said.

The OHLAs are constructed with shafts precision machined from 130,000 psi stress-proofed steel, the company said. All custom OHLA designs include a detailed CAD approval drawing submitted prior to manufacture, Zero-Max said.
