Cummins Names Marine Segment Leaders

Cummins Inc. announced it has reorganized its Commercial Marine Business around five customer-focused market segments: commercial transport; offshore oil and gas; passenger transport; government/defense; and special use (fishing). In line with this reorganization, the company has named Greg Young director of Strategic Growth – Commercial Transport and Waldemar Marchetti director of Strategic Growth – Offshore.

Young has been with Cummins for more than 30 years, most recently serving as the director of strategy, OEM and Business Development for Cummins Westport since 2003. He has held a variety of roles within the company, including European technical operations, automotive sales, European and African distribution management and has been located in the U.K., Belgium and South Africa. He will be located in Daventry, U.K., and will report directly to Jenny Bush, general manager for the Commercial Marine Business.

Marchetti served as marine sales and marketing director in Latin American for Cummins for the last six years. He has been with Cummins for almost nine years, previously supporting the distributor channel and numerous international OEMs. He will continue to be based in São Paolo, Brazil, and will also report directly to Bush.
