Tognum Reducing Executive Board

Posted on September 21, 2011

Tognum’s Supervisory Board announced that it will reduce the size of its Executive Board as of Oct. 1 from five to four members. This decision follows the introduction of the new sales organization of the global Tognum group, which became effective at the beginning of January.

As a second step, the company has now decided to concentrate the entire market responsibility for the Engines und Onsite Energy business units in a single Executive Board division to be headed by Peter Kneipp, the Executive Board member currently responsible for Engines. The Executive Board member currently responsible for Onsite Energy & Components, Christof von Branconi, is leaving the company Sept. 30 for personal reasons, the company said.

Along with Kneipp, other members of the Executive Board include Joachim Coers, who as previously announced, will assume the position of chairman and CEO on Oct. 1, succeeding Volker Heuer, who retires at the end of September. Dieter Royal will become CFO and head of Group Services and Chief Technical Officer Dr. Ulrich Dohle will take over the duties of deputy chairman, also previously held by Coers.
