DCL’s Mine-X Gets CARB Verification

Posted on September 9, 2008

DCL International Inc. announced that its Mine-X Sootfilter diesel particulate filter (DPF) system has been verified as a Level 3 Plus Diesel Emission Control Strategy (DECS) for stationary prime and emergency standby generators by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). To achieve the Level 3 Plus status, the system was demonstrated to reduce diesel particulate matter (PM) by more than 85% and meet California’s January 2009 limit for NO2 emissions.

The Mine-X Sootfilter is a passively regenerated DPF and includes a backpressure and temperature monitor. The system can be packaged in a variety of configurations and is scalable to meet most engine sizes, the company said.

DCL, headquartered in Concord, Ontario, Canada, is a manufacturer of emissions control systems and technologies for off-highway vehicles, stationary engines, industrial processes and specialized on-highway vehicles.
