Big Offshore Contract For Fairfield

Fairfield Manufacturing Co. has received a contract for over $9 million to provide jacking drive gearbox assemblies to GustoMSC. The contract calls for Fairfield to develop, test and provide large ABS certified jacking drive planetary gear boxes capable of lifting over 300 tons each and rated for output torque of over 1 million Nm. GustoMSC, a member of the SBM Offshore Group, is headquartered in Schiedam, The Netherlands, and specializes in the design of new mobile offshore platforms, the modification of existing platforms, and the design of platform drilling rigs.
