SDLG Opens Flagship Dealer Location In California

Posted on October 29, 2013

SDLG, the Chinese subsidiary of the Volvo Group, has opened its first dealer store in Turlock, Calif., launching the company’s retail efforts in North America. The 10,000 sq. ft. VCES operation is the brand’s first dedicated brick-and-mortar location in the region. Its opening marks the establishment of the company’s SDLG’s U.S. dealer network.

Alan Quinn, director of SDLG North America, said the opening of VCES is an important milestone for SDLG’s rollout into North America. “We’re very excited to launch our new dealer network in North America and we couldn’t think of a better place than Turlock,” Quinn said. “It’s surrounded by a thriving agriculture industry and we have already connected with lots of excited customers who are interested in SDLG wheel loaders.” VCES will also maintain a branch in Fresno, Calif.

The SDLG dealer network, composed of seven companies in 12 locations, will sell the company’s two wheel loaders available in North America — the LG938L – a 2.4 cu. yd. loader with a rated load of 3.0 tons, and the LG959, a 4 cu. yd. loader with a rated load of 5.0  tons — as well as provide thorough parts and maintenance support.

Each of the dealers in the network is equipped with a complete service center intended to offer customers a one-stop-shop for service and warranty work. Highly trained technicians at each location are able to work on SDLG machines “from axles to engines.” A central parts depot in Atlanta, Ga., will supply parts to all the dealers. All SDLG machines are backed by 12-month, 1500-hour warranties.

SDLG dealer network locations also include: Construction Machinery Industrial, Anchorage, Alaska; Redhead Equipment, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada; ASC Construction Equipment, Bismarck, N.D., Buford, Ga., Charlotte, N.C., and Piedmont, S.C.; Sheehan Mack Sales & Equipment, Sioux Falls, S.D.; ROMCO Equipment, Dallas and Houston, Texas; and Vantage Equipment, Syracuse, N.Y.
