@Agritechnica: New ZF Drivetrains For Agricultural Machines

Posted on October 4, 2013

ZF said it will introduce the new TMT 09 and TMT 11 continuous variable transaxles, that round off the power range at the bottom end of the family – from 48 to 80 kW. These transaxles feature a new transmission concept for high efficiency within reasonable production costs, ZF said, and offers familiar features such as power shuttle, standstill control, and continuously variable acceleration from standstill to maximum speed.

At the opposite end of the power range for standard tractors, ZF is extending its transmission offering up to 330 kW, with the new TMG 45 Terramatic transmission – a further development of the Eccom 3.0 with higher power density and improved efficiency, said ZF.

In the power range between 62 and 84 kW, ZF Will present the Terrapower TPT 11 transaxle, featuring a four-way powershift, shuttle shift and jerk-free and shock-free power take-off shifting. Drivers can choose between 32 forward and 32 reverse gears and four PTO speeds. With the TPT 11, functions such as comfort shift, automatic power shift and speed matching will be available also in the smaller power classes.

ZF will also showcase its Efficiency Package option for agricultural machines, the Intelligent Range Shift innovation for automated synchronous group shifting, and a selection of cab damper solutions.
