Aftertreatment Alliance Restructured

Posted on October 15, 2012

Deutz AG, Robert Bosch GmbH and J. Ebersp├Ącher GmbH & Co. KG have decided to restructure their exhaust aftertreatment alliance, as Deutz and Ebersp├Ącher announced they will sell their shares in Bosch Emission Systems GmbH (BESG) to the majority shareholder Bosch. The purchase price has not been disclosed and the transaction is subject to approval from government authorities.

Deutz and Bosch announced they will intensify their future collaboration as part of an innovation partnership in exhaust aftertreatment, diesel injection technology and electronics. The aim of this partnership is to integrate the drive technology systems for mobile machinery more tightly, the companies said. BESG will continue to supply Deutz with aftertreatment systems.

BESG was established in 2010 in Germany and since then has supplied aftertreatment modules for construction equipment, agricultural machinery and commercial vehicles such as trucks and buses.
