Posted on October 6, 2005

Oshkosh Truck Corp. announced that the company will open its new 300,000-sq.ft. defense truck remanufacturing facility on October 10 near its headquarters in Oshkosh, Wis.

Oshkosh Truck is investing approximately $4 million to upgrade the facility, which was purchased in May 2005 for the purpose of expanding its defense truck remanufacturing capacity. These upgrades include an automated line for blast and paint operations, new cells for component disassembly and refurbishing, new overhead cranes and a dedicated line for vehicle tear down. In addition, the facility will house Oshkosh's Integrated Logistics Support group, which serves defense customers with repair parts, mechanical service and armoring upgrades.
