Bosch Rexroth AG, parent company of Bosch Rexroth Corp. said it plans to invest approximately $47 million to expand its production facilities for hydraulic components and complete hydraulic modules in Pomerode, Brazil. The investment doubles the company's production capacity in Pomerode and will raise the number of employees to approximately 1000 by the year 2014, the company said.

The expansion will enable Bosch Rexroth’s Pomerode facility to manufacture gear pumps and control blocks for mobile hydraulics. It will also allow the company to supply a greater number of its plants in the United States with preliminary products. More and more products destined for U.S. customers will be produced in Pomerode.

The announcement was the latest in a number of expansions Bosch Rexroth is making around the globe. Over the past two years, the company has expanded its production facilities in Slovenia, Hungary and China and is in the process of building a new plant in Turkey. Along with Pomerode, Bosch Rexroth also has a plant in Atibaia, Brazil. The company currently has approximately 80 sales partners and 660 employees in Brazil, 360 of whom are located in Pomerode.
