Racor’s Snapp Fuel Filter Water Separator

Posted on November 8, 2013

The Racor Division of Parker Hannifin has announced the introduction of a new, one-piece fuel filter water separator for diesel and bio-diesel engines up to 140 hp, or a diesel flow rate of 26 gph.

The fuel filter is a single piece construction that snaps into a permanent mounting bracket – a fuel filter can now be replaced in seconds, Racor said. Quick-connect fuel line fittings expedite the process.

“Snapp features all the hallmarks of Racor’s longstanding filtration platforms in a very compact filter. Importantly, at the heart of the filter separator is Aquabloc media in 2, 10 or 30 microns, and a clear collection bowl for at-a-glance inspection of fuel quality,” said Dan Stibel, product manager, Fuel Filtration. “Snapp makes monitoring and service almost effortless, including draining separated water from the clear bowl.”

Snapp is less than 4 in. x 8 in., with 2.5 in. clearance required for service. It also includes a quick re-priming procedure with no tools required and no fuel wasted.  The filter has one-piece construction and B20 bio-diesel compatibility.
