Johnson Matthey Expands International Catalyst Manufacturing

Posted on November 11, 2013

Johnson Matthey has opened a new $80 million extension to its European emission control catalyst manufacturing facility in Bunardzik, Macedonia.  The new plant will provide additional capacity for catalysts.

The extended facility will have an additional two manufacturing lines and brings the site’s total capacity to around 10 million catalysts. It will predominantly produce SCR (selective catalyst reduction) catalysts used to reduce emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) from diesel engines.
