Deere Introduces New 13.5 L Gen-Set Diesels
John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) has introduced two new 13.5 L generator drive diesel engines for emergency stationary gen-set applications in the 350 to 500 kW range. The PowerTech E 13.5 L Tier 3 and PowerTech 13.5 L Tier 2 engines are designed for the 60 Hz standby power markets in the United States and Canada.
The PowerTech E 13.5L6135HFG84 features higher-output PowerTech E ratings of 538 hp and 617 hp at 1800 rpm, and are expected to fill key power nodes of 350 and 400 kW standby power. The new engine is available with a New Source Performance Standard (NSPS) emergency stationary label for the U.S. and Canadian markets, JDPS said, and is capable of achieving Tier 3 emissions levels as required by emergency stationary regulations.
The other newly announced model, the PowerTech 13.5L6135HFG75 has a power rating of 755 hp at 1800 rpm and is targeted at the 500 kW standby power node, said Xavier Adam, market planning manager for JDPS.Edit Module
