@bauma China: Dana Debuts New Drivetrain Program

The day before the official opening of bauma China, Dana Holding Corp. launched the a new brand and strategy for drivetrain components in China. Spicer Rui Ma transmissions and axles are made in China for the specific requirements of the Chinese market and are intended to complement Dana’s flagship Spicer brand of advanced drivetrain solutions.

"Over our 20 years of collaborations with Chinese OEMs, Dana has developed a deep understanding of the unique demands of this market through our continually expanding product line and manufacturing footprint," said George Constand, Dana’s chief technology and quality officer. "Today’s introduction of the Spicer Rui Ma series of drivetrain solutions is a significant advancement in our commitment to supporting all market segments, manufacturers, and end users in the region."

Developed and produced at Dana’s manufacturing facility in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China, Spicer Rui Ma transmissions and axles are engineered to provide an optimized blend of product features, performance, dependability and cost demanded by purchasers of the majority of construction and other off-highway vehicles manufactured in China.

The initial Spicer Rui Ma products offered to Chinese OEMs include the Spicer TZL16 RM powershift transmission for ZL50 front-end loaders, the T08 RM transmission for 6 to 10 tonne (6.5 to 11 ton) forklift trucks and the T39 RM tridem drive axle for five- and six-axle chassis concrete pump trucks and other heavy-duty vocational applications.

Dana said it will introduce additional Spicer Rui Ma transmissions and axles for the construction, mining, and material-handling industries in the coming months.
