MAN Shows Tier 4/Stage 4 Engines

The Engine Business Unit of MAN gave a first look at it Tier 4/EU Stage 4 engines at the recent Agritechnica show at Hanover, Germany. The company displayed its D0836 diesel, a six-cylinder unit rated 250 kW (335 hp), which incorporates a number of technical features designed to reduce engine emissions.

These include two-stage turbocharging, intercooling, a common rail fuel system, external cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and a selective catalytic reduction systems with integrated particulate filter.
