Terex Names President/COO

Terex Corp. announced that Tom Riordan will join the company in the newly created position of president and chief operating officer effective January 1, 2007. Riordan will be based in Westport, Conn. and will report to Ronald M. DeFeo, who will continue to serve as chairman and chief executive officer.

Riordan began his career at Borg-Warner Automotive, where he held various manufacturing positions. Riordan moved to J.I. Case, where he held a series of technical engineering, plant management and component manufacturing positions, culminating in a role as vice president, european manufacturing. He most recently was executive vice president and chief operating officer of SPX Corp. Riordan has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University and an M.S. in Industrial Administration from Purdue University.
