Komatsu Ltd. said it would cooperate with Germany's Siemens AG to develop an electric motor-power drive system for large dump trucks. Demand for such trucks, used in mining operations, is growing, Komatsu spokesman Keiichiro Matsuoka said. Komatsu, said it expects its sales from large dump trucks to reach some $52 million in the year to March. It currently buys electric-powered drive systems for large dump trucks from General Electric.
