Cat C7 Certified For ‘07

Caterpillar Inc. said it has received certification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the company's first engine equipped with its ACERT technology for 2007. The first EPA-certified Caterpillar ACERT engine is its C7, used in medium-duty vocational and delivery trucks. The engine will be in full production by Jan. 1, 2007. Cat said the C7 is also used in a variety of other medium duty applications, including school buses, emergency vehicles and recreational vehicles.
