New President For Caterpillar In Brazil

Odair Renosto has been named Caterpillar’s new president in Brazil, effective June 1. He succeeds Luiz Carlos Calil, who is retiring after a 45-year career.

Renosto has worked for Caterpillar for 33 years, beginning in 1981 as an import and export assistant. He has help positions in financial planning, products and strategy departments, working at the company’s headquarters in Peoria, Ill., and in Miami.

Since 2012, Renosto has served in Caterpillar’s Geneva, Switzerland, office as a regional product manager in charge of motor graders, loaders and medium dozers in in Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

In Brazil, he will manage the Caterpillar operations in Piracicaba, in São Paulo, and Campo Largo, in Paraná and will oversee dozers, hydraulic excavators, motor graders, loaders, backhoes and soil compactors, as well as serving as country manager.
