AGCO To Buy Grain Handling Systems Manufacturer
AGCO, the global manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, announced that it has agreed to acquire Intersystems Holdings Inc. and its subsidiary Intersystems, subject to certain regulatory approvals. No financial details were provided.
Headquartered in Omaha, Neb., Intersystems is a manufacturer of commercial material handling solutions sold to grain operations globally.
“Intersystems products are recognized for their performance, quality and efficiency by its customers, including feed mills, inland grain terminals and sea port facilities,” said Martin Richenhagen, AGCO’s chairman, president and chief executive officer. “The company is an excellent fit with GSI and will allow us to expand our grain handling and storage business in the fast growing off-farm segment.”
GSI is a global manufacturer of manufacturer of grain storage and protein production storage systems that AGCO acquired in 2011.
