DAF Delivers Euro 6 Trucks

Posted on June 10, 2013

DAF has launched two trucks featuring a new generation of Euro 6 engines. The Dutch headquartered subsidiary of Paccar has unveiled its Euro 6 LF and CF trucks, which have the engines including the new Paccar MX-11 and Paccar MX-13 diesels.

DAF said the LF was developed for distribution transport with the CF for a wide range of applications from 18 tonnes to combination weights of 44 tonnes-plus. The Euro LF and Euro CF series have PX-5, PX-7, MX-11 or MX-13 engines with ratings of 112 kW to 375 kW.

The vehicles utilize ZF transmissions throughout the range — five, six, nine or 12-speed manual transmissions as standard, depending on the model. For the CF, a 16-speed manual gearbox is available as an option, which also goes for the AS Tronic automated transmissions with six, 12 and 16-speeds.

More information on the new vehicles will be available in an upcoming issue of Diesel Progress International Edition.
