Three-Gauge Instrument Cluster

Posted on May 27, 2011

Maxima Technologies & Systems LLC has introduced a 3GEC three-gauge economy instrument cluster for integration into ag equipment, construction machinery and utility vehicles. The 3GEC features fuel and temperature gauges, a full-size tachometer with LCD hourmeter and 12 status indicators.

The cluster is designed for operation in temperatures from -22° to 158°F and is compliant with SAE standards for vibration and salt spray, Maxima said.

Like all of Maxima’s instrument clusters, the 3GEC has built-in transmission control and I/O functions. The cluster can be configured in either SAE J1939/CAN or analog formats, with integral LCD or dot-matrix displays and warning lights. The electronic cluster also incorporates stepper motors for improved reliability and improved packaging, Maxima said.

As a standard platform, the cluster can be adapted for a number of applications with customized status indicators, the overlay and dials available as options.
