Kopietzki New President At Kohler Power Systems

Otto Kopietzki has been named President-Kohler Power Systems, consolidating all Kohler Power Systems worldwide under one leader. This change was initiated to keep the business focused on the opportunities stemming from growing global markets and the company’s recent acquisition of French generator set manufacturer SDMO. Kopietzki reports to Dick Fotsch, President-Kohler Global Power Group.

Kopietzki, who assumed his new position April 1, has served as President-Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific, for Kohler Power Systems.

Kopietzki’s career in Kohler Power Systems began in 1988, when he joined the company as Vice President, International-Kohler Power Systems Group. He has also held the positions of vice president-sales, Americas-Kohler Power Systems.

Prior to coming to Kohler, he was Director-Sales and Marketing at Cummins/Onan Corp. in Minneapolis, Minn.

Kohler also announced that Wayne Morrison has been named Vice President-Sales and Service for the Kohler Engine business of Kohler Co. He will be responsible for domestic and international sales of Engine Division products to national accounts, central distributors, service distributors, and dealers. He also directs the service organization for replacement engines and service parts.

Prior to taking this position, Morrison was employed by Briggs & Stratton Corporation for eight years during which time he held a number of sales director-level positions. Morrison also held a number of sales and service positions in the automotive care and microprocessor control industries.
