Eaton Extends Linde Hydraulics Alliance
Eaton has extended its current alliance with Linde Hydraulics to ensure the long-term availability of its DuraForce family of piston pumps and motors. Terms were not disclosed.
“Today’s announcement reaffirms our commitment to the DuraForce products and solidifies their place in our growing portfolio of high-pressure solutions,” said Farrokh Batliwala, vice president, general manager, Eaton, Cleveland, Ohio. “Now, customers around the world can be even more confident in the powerful performance of DuraForce as they keep their applications up and running reliably for years to come.”
The alliance was first announced in June 2010 and gave Eaton access to Linde’s high-pressure pumps and motors. Eaton markets them under the DuraForce brand, and said the products are notable for their modular design that promotes flexibility in a broad range of industrial and mobile applications.
The companies said that the collaboration will also focus on expanding sales channels and the regional presence of both companies, as well as on extending the two companies' product lines that include high pressure axial piston pumps, high pressure axial piston motors and valves from Linde Hydraulics, as well as medium-pressure axial piston pumps by Eaton.
In particular, the two partners said they plan to combine their strengths in the emerging markets of South America, Southeast Asia (including Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia) and India. The cooperation between the two companies will also continue in the regions of Europe, North America, Middle East and Africa.
"We are looking forward to further developing the successful cooperation between Linde Hydraulics and Eaton in the future," said Thorsten van der Tuuk, executive vice president Sales, Marketing, Research & Development at Linde Hydraulics. "By extending and expanding our cooperation along with the additional regional distribution capabilities of our Asian partner Weichai Power, all customer groups will benefit from an extremely comprehensive and globally available product and service network."
